SAME TITLES, BUT DIFFERENT STORIES

In addition to reuse of scripts, a couple of Gunsmoke episode titles were reused.
There are two pairs of episodes that share the same titles, but have completely different plot lines.
They are THE BROTHERS and WRONG MAN.


THE BROTHERS
Date: 09/06/1952
Plot Line:
Jim and Will Thompson come to Dodge to sell a herd of cattle and they arouse
the Marshal's suspicions as to their real reason for being in town.
One of the Thompson brothers looks vaguely familiar to Dillon.
Guest Cast/Roles Played:
Harry Bartell as Jim Thompson, Vic Perrin as Will Thompson, Paul Dubov as Houston Jack,
Joe Du Val as Clem Bates, and Lou Krugman as Sammy.

Date: 09/30/1956
Plot Line:
Former Marshal, turned gunfighter Lafe Tugwell comes to Dodge to see Doc.
A young gunman, Trace Gore, has been hounding Tugwell and
wants to shoot Tugwell who is supposed to be fast on the draw.
Guest Cast/Roles Played:
Vic Perrin as Lafe Tugwell, and Sam Edwards as Trace Gore.


WRONG MAN
Date: 11/13/1954
Plot Line:
Sam Rickers claims a $1000 reward for killing outlaw Bob Hulburt.
However, the body is that of an innocent man - Jake Haney.
Haney's partner, Catlin, is going after Rickers.

John Dehner as Sam Rickers, Vivi Janiss as Letty Rickers, Lawrence Dobkin as Mr. Dobie, and Vic Perrin as Catlin.

Date: 05/08/1960
Plot Line:
Jack Norman, has recently arrived in Dodge and is promptly arrested by Marshal Dillon on suspicion of murder.
Dillon thinks that the knife-carrying Norman might be Jim Waddell, the estranged son of old man Waddell.

Harry Bartell as Jack Norman, Sam Edwards as Rufe Waddell, John Dehner as Pa Waddell, Lawrence Dobkin as Jim Waddell,
Vic Perrin as Sam/Moss Grimmick, and Jack Moyles as Sheriff Blair.
